Architectural Technical Designer

Join our team!

We’re hiring an Architectural Technical Designer to produce precise fabrication and assembly drawings for architectural and signage projects. You’ll transform design intent into manufacturable solutions, collaborating with engineers, fabricators, and project teams. If you’re skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, and architectural detailing, and thrive in a technical, fast-paced environment — we want to hear from you.

What is your mission?

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

1. Technical Design & Documentation

  • Create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Develop CNC-ready files ensuring accuracy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Translate design concepts and site data into manufacturable architectural solutions.
  • Review project proposals, drawings, and technical certificates (e.g., structural, electrical) for compliance.

2. Collaboration & Engineering Support

  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and estimation teams to validate and optimize designs.
  • Resolve production or installation issues in partnership with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Recommend improvements to materials, structures, or design methods for efficiency and safety.

3. Process Optimization

  • Evaluate existing design and production workflows for quality and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to process documentation and standardization within the design team.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in architectural and signage fabrication.

4. Project Accountability

  • Manage assigned design projects independently, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and clear documentation to support fabrication and installation.

Who are we looking for?

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Design, or Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in architectural, manufacturing, or signage design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (strong technical understanding required).
  • Solid grasp of materials, fabrication processes, and structural detailing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to produce precise, code-compliant drawings for production and installation.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or Inventor is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with architectural façades, canopies, or metal-clad structures preferred.
  • Knowledge of shop processes, materials, and fabrication equipment.
  • Exposure to process improvement and documentation in a design-to-manufacture setup.
