Benefits Consultant Assistant

We are looking for a detail-driven Benefits Consultant Assistant to manage benefits enrollments, renewals, quoting, client communication, and HRIS setup. You’ll handle carrier updates, build enrollment systems, support integrations, and deliver exceptional service to multiple accounts. If you excel in benefits administration, data accuracy, and fast-paced work, this role is a strong fit. 


What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

Benefits Administration & Member Support

  • Process adds, terms, and changes for medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits
  • Submit updates to carriers and TPAs, ensuring accuracy and timely routing
  • Verify confirmations in HRIS/enrollment systems
  • Support billing audits, reconciliations, and resolve carrier discrepancies
  • Assist in open enrollment prep, data cleanup, and communications
  • Prepare claims packets and documentation for consultants

Quoting, Renewals & Proposal Support

  • Gather census data and plan details for quoting
  • Submit groups through GA/carrier portals
  • Prepare census/import templates for medical and ancillary plans
  • Support spreadsheet comparisons, renewal modeling, and contribution analysis
  • Maintain internal tracking tools and CRM updates
  • Help own parts of the renewal quoting workflow

Enrollment System Build-Outs (Employee Navigator, Ease, BerniePortal, etc.)

  • Build employer groups, plan setups, rates, eligibility rules, and payroll deductions
  • Upload census files and conduct audits
  • Support EDI setup
  • Provide navigation assistance during open enrollment

Technology & Integrations

  • Support integrations with payroll systems (iSolved, ADP, Paycor, Paycom, etc.)
  • Maintain SOPs and documentation
  • Ensure accurate demographic, eligibility, and payroll data syncing

Client Service & Communication

  • Respond to client inquiries with accuracy and professionalism
  • Assist with renewal packets, summaries, BOR packets, and presentations
  • Follow up with carriers, clients, and GAs
  • Support compliance workflows (SBCs, COBRA/state continuation, ACA data collection, 5500 requests)


Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR support, or insurance brokerage
  • Strong knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits
  • Experience using HRIS/enrollment platforms (Employee Navigator, Ease, BerniePortal, etc.)
  • Proficient in Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data manipulation
  • CRM experience (any platform)
  • Experience submitting quotes via GA or carrier portals
  • Familiarity with payroll/HRIS integrations
  • AI-savvy (use of AI tools for efficiency and workflow optimization)
  • Able to manage multiple accounts and tight deadlines
  • Organized and process-driven
