Senior Data Scientist

Join our team!

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead experimentation, analyze LiveOps and feature performance, ensure data quality, and translate economy and player‑behavior insights into clear recommendations. You will partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to optimize monetization, retention, progression, and overall game health in a high‑impact live environment.

What is your mission?

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Evaluate feature, event, promotion, seasonal, and LiveOps performance and provide actionable insights.
  • Design, execute, and interpret A/B tests and multivariate experiments with clear success metrics and guardrails.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to maintain complete event instrumentation, taxonomy accuracy, and data quality.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for product, design, and leadership.
  • Analyze currency usage, pricing models, progression, and scarcity to guide economy tuning.
  • Build predictive models for LTV, churn/retention, conversion, and spend propensity to support scenario planning.
  • Develop behavioral and lifecycle‑based player segments for targeting, personalization, and monetization.
  • Collaborate with Analytics Engineering on KPI definitions and build scalable dashboards/reporting.

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Game Development, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in data science or analytics within the gaming industry (mobile F2P or PC titles)
  • Deep understanding of player behavior, monetization funnels, event performance, and game‑economy health
  • Proven experience analyzing currency sources/sinks, pricing, rewards, scarcity, and progression pacing
  • Ability to identify inflation/deflation trends and their impact on engagement and monetization
  • High proficiency in SQL for large‑scale event data analysis
  • Advanced Python skills for modeling, statistics, and data manipulation
  • Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests and multivariate experiments, including guardrails, success metrics, and sample‑size requirements
  • Ability to explain causal inference concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Experience building or interpreting models for LTVretention/churn, conversion likelihood, and spending patterns
  • Familiarity with event pipelines, schema design, and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with SnowflakeGCP, or any major cloud environment
  • Experience with casual or midcore mobile games and predictable LiveOps cadences
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to product, design, and leadership teams
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to influence decisions with data‑driven recommendations
