The OEM/CEM Account Manager has primary responsibility for building, managing, and maintaining a team of Inside Account Managers who are actively developing new accounts via telephone. The Account Manager is accountable for developing and executing sales strategies to meet management revenue and profitability goals.  This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.  The OEM/CEM Account Manager must have a demonstrated ability to sell to all levels of purchasing functions. PCX's sales audience includes C-levels, Senior Executives, VPs, Managers, Planners, Agents, and/or Engineers, at private and public OEMs, CEMs, and Franchised distributors (medium-sized companies up to Fortune 500).  The OEM/CEM Account Manager should possess a firm understanding of and experience implementing sales strategies and initiatives to grow customer revenues while establishing long-term, loyal clients.

What is your mission?

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Build gross profit (GP) of the OEM/CEM Account Team.
  • Maintain the client's core values and principles while managing and growing customer base as well as cultivating and nurturing existing customers.
  • Complete the client's Sales Training program and apply techniques to sell all brands and types of components.
  • Contribute in gross profit (GP) per year.
  • Prospect and develop new accounts from a combination of assigned sales leads and existing contacts via telephone
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities so that the qualified pipeline measurably exceeds target metrics for any given month.
  • Maintain account base and lead activity daily in EPDS Sales & Marketing software 
  • Participate in sales/marketing campaigns and follow up on leads generated from the campaign within 2 days of receipt. 
  • Build positive customer relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
    • Maintain a Customer Satisfaction score of 3.75 on a 5.0 scale across all active accounts. 
    • Follow up on all customers with a score below 3.75 within two weeks of receiving the survey results.   
  • Manage and coordinate sales efforts with client's internal Marketing, Purchasing, Accounting, and Warehouse/Distribution departments 
  • Conduct an annual account review meeting via conference call or in person with top 10 accounts (based on gross profit).
  • Deliver sales presentations to key customers to help foster retention, penetration, and development as either the primary or secondary independent source of electronic components
  • Follow all company-wide and departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions


Team Objectives:

  • Participate in weekly Department Team meetings
  • Participate in bi-weekly 1-on-1 meetings with supervisor
  • Participate in monthly Company Meetings


Individual Objectives:

  • Ensure team members meet individual performance KPI objectives and metrics of:   
    • $180,000 in gross profit per year with a reach goal of $600,000 in GP per year +
    • 13 qualified requirements per day
    • 65 contacts per day
    • 4.5 hours of total telephone time with a reach goal of 6 hours of telephone time
    • Complete daily performance metrics/vital factors
    • Be trained and fully competent in the use of EPDS (our CRM system)
    • Work with immediate supervisor to complete daily performance metrics for daily team distribution

Who are we looking for?

  • At least 1-2 years of OEM/CEM experience
  • Above average English skills (8/10)
  • Audio clip is needed (introduction)
  • Has worked a minimum of 2 years in a previous company
  • Someone who can do a bunch of calls
