Account Coordinator (Reconciliation Specialist)

We are looking for an Account Coordinator to provide customer support, benefits administration, accounts payable assistance, carrier reconciliation, and enrollment processing services for employer and insurance carrier accounts. The role is responsible for managing benefit enrollment changes, database administration, account support, document management, and customer communications while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of critical benefits-related information.


What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Provide customer service support through telephone and email communications.
  • Support assigned Account Managers with daily account administration activities.
  • Process accounts payable transactions, carrier reconciliations, and account-related documentation.
  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate information within the Customer Management System database.
  • Process employee enrollment changes and ensure timely communication with employers and insurance carriers.
  • Assist with COBRA reinstatements, terminations, and benefits administration transactions.
  • Review, scan, index, and maintain electronic records and documentation within company systems.
  • Process incoming and returned mail while ensuring accurate recordkeeping and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accuracy and compliance when processing benefits-related transactions and enrollment updates.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, employers, carriers, and internal stakeholders regarding account inquiries and requests.
  • Assist with data validation, reconciliation activities, and operational support tasks.
  • Perform additional administrative, customer service, and account support duties as assigned.


Who are we looking for?

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a customer support, accounts payable, banking, benefits administration, insurance administration, or account support role.
  • Experience handling customer inquiries through phone and email support channels.
  • Experience with accounts payable processing, account reconciliation, carrier reconciliation, or financial transaction support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and intermediate-level Microsoft Excel, with experience using formulas, spreadsheets, and pivot tables.
  • Strong data entry, record management, and database maintenance skills.
  • Ability to process high-volume transactions with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, shift between tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Experience processing enrollment changes, account updates, or administrative transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client, employee, and business information.
  • Insurance industry experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with benefits enrollment, eligibility management, or insurance-related processes is preferred but not required.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills are an advantage.
