The Business Finance Analyst I is a key function that supports the Business Manager in serving as a business advisor to our regional team in EMEA. This role has an integral part in driving product and customer profitability.

What is your mission?

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

Planning, Budgeting & Pricing

  • Managing the region’s annual budget process
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and providing insights and recommendations on forecasted sales and direct spending
  • Setting and updating price lists based on retail, wholesale, and distributor pricing and providing advice on the profitability of proposed in-line sales and promotional programs


General Business Support

  • Partnering with Sales and Operations to create a monthly consensus forecast for operational planning purposes
  • Developing processes that deliver required analysis timely and effectively (both routine analysis and special analysis)
  • Seeking ways to deliver continual improvement in processes (better, faster) to deliver data that leads to action that builds the business, prevents issues and advances decision-making
  • Support of all aspects of running the Amsterdam office including invoice analysis, coding and payment oversight, expense management, and support of the team based in Europe


Analyzing and Reporting

  • Creating and producing reports to perform a wide range of analytics that drive insights and actionable items to be used by the team
  • Analyzing and reporting out key operating metrics, including leveraging expertise outside of the regional team on certain operational metrics understanding the cause of both favorable and adverse trends, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ownership of all internal reporting associated with the financial and metric performance of the region including preparation of weekly reports, monthly financial re-caps and narratives, quarterly business reviews, annual Strategic Planning sessions, Board meetings, and all other facets of internal financial reporting
  • Performing variance analysis on financial results on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, including review of operating metrics and identification of recommendations for adverse trends, comparison, and analysis of actual, forecasted, and budgeted data.




Who are we looking for? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Accounting, Finance
  • 3 years minimum experience in a similar capacity
  • 3 years of relevant work experience in Retail CPG Analysis
  • Experience working for a consumer products company in a similar or related role.
  • Experience with complex relational ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.), CRM, and data extraction through data warehouses & cubes.
  • Highly proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, and Oracle Systems software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills (verbal and written) skills and is able to positively influence behaviors and outcomes.
  • High level of competency with Microsoft Office Programs. Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel required, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate business processes.
  • Solid problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail is a must to ensure processes are performed in compliance with the company's AP schedule.
  • Superior Stakeholder Management Skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
