What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

Project Accounting

  • Data entry, maintenance, and management of all accounts payable functions per project including reviewing the accuracy of subcontractor and vendor billings and all appropriate paperwork (lien waivers, certifications, certificates of insurance, etc.). 
  • Data entry, maintenance, and management of all accounts receivable functions per project including assisting in the preparation of monthly client billings by working with Project Managers. 
  • Assist with expense recording, job cost tracking and data entry per project. 
  • Assist in maintaining certificates of insurance from subcontractors. 

Accounts Receivable and Payable

  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as needed, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections. 
  • Review and analyze aging reports, follow up on overdue invoices, and communicate with customers and vendors regarding payment status and inquiries. 
  • Ensure compliance with payment terms, credit policies, and internal controls related to accounts receivable and payable processes. 
  • Manage vendor credit applications. 
  • Management employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card reconciliations via expense management software.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries, accruals, and adjustments accurately and timely. 
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. 
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in account balances, collaborating with other departments as needed. 

Tax Compliance and Reporting

  • Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries, accruals, and adjustments accurately and timely. 
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. 
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in account balances, collaborating with other departments as needed. 

Financial Reporting

  • Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and weekly cash forecast, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. 
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities. 
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning. 

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of annual operating budgets and long-term financial forecasts. 
  • Track budget performance, analyze variances, and provide explanations for budget-to-actual differences. 
  • Participate in budgeting meetings and provide input on budget assumptions, goals, and targets. 

General Administrative

  • Assist managers or other staff with their daily functions to ensure department goals are achieved and staff are notified of important information. 
  • Perform a variety of complex and specialized administrative and office support functions to ensure the daily operations of the office run efficiently and professionally.

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting roles either in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (Acumatica or similar software experience highly desirable), with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with project management software (Procore or similar software experience highly desirable) 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively. 
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis as well as job costing. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is highly preferred. 
  • With multi-state experience preferred but not required.
