We are seeking a motivated and skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain MSSQL Database Servers across our enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that database systems are optimized, reliable, secure, and meet all uptime and disaster recovery requirements. The DBA will proactively monitor performance, handle system configurations, support project deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of database operations.

What is your mission?

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • System Installations, Configurations, and Migrations: Install, configure, and migrate database systems across environments, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime.
  • Disaster Recovery Management: Oversee disaster recovery solutions, including failover, backup strategies, and ensuring network/compute/storage resources are available.
  • Database Security Management: Implement and maintain database security policies, including access control, encryption, and audit mechanisms.
  • Database Optimization and Maintenance: Perform regular database optimization, including index maintenance, query performance tuning, and system patching.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Implement and manage monitoring solutions to ensure system performance is within defined thresholds; proactively respond to alerts.
  • Capacity Planning and Forecasting: Analyze resource usage trends to forecast future database capacity needs and recommend appropriate adjustments.
  • Performance Improvement: Identify performance bottlenecks and proactively suggest optimization strategies to improve efficiency and throughput.
  • Scheduled Jobs Management: Monitor and ensure the successful execution of scheduled jobs, identifying and resolving any failures.
  • Database Promotions and Refreshes: Oversee database promotions, system refreshes, and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to services.


Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience managing Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) in a production environment.
  • Experience with T-SQL (Transact-SQL) and ability to write and execute complex queries.
  • Effective and professional communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with database management tools, backup and recovery solutions, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify performance issues and propose solutions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work after hours, on weekends, and provide 24/7 support as needed.
  • Familiarity with database monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio, SolarWinds, etc.) is a plus.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail.
