We are seeking for a driven Senior Cost Accountant who will be joining our client's accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will oversee all accounting processes related to inventory and month-end close.

What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to assess inventory levels and their impact on financial performance, acting as a liaison with Operations to enhance process accuracy and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot SAP system issues related to inventory, costing, and month-end close with IT.
  • Calculate and help inform decisions regarding inventory reserves for excess and obsolete products.
  • Coordinate month-end close activities with upstream departments affecting inventory and cost of goods sold (COGs).
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls and SOX compliance concerning inventory and COGs.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and process documentation related to inventory.
  • Become the subject matter expert on all inventory-related financial reporting areas.
  • Conduct flux analysis on inventory levels and COGs margins.
  • Manage all inventory and COGs-related audit requests.
  • Challenge current processes and identify opportunities for improvement to drive efficiency.
  • Understand materiality and properly assess US GAAP accounting when making or proposing business decisions.
  • Undertake other related accounting duties and ad-hoc projects as needed.


Who are we looking for?

  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience in physical inventory, demonstrating a solid foundation in general accounting principles and best practices; industry experience is highly preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines across multiple responsibilities.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, thriving in ambiguity and adapting quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong data manipulation skills (e.g., lookups, pivots, formulas, filters).
  • Experience with inventory reconciliation and cost analysis, with the ability to explain and report insights to FP&A.
  • Familiarity with SAP Business One and experience working in a US company.
  • Above-average English proficiency and an energetic, positive attitude that fosters team spirit and robust relationships.
