We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems and Oracle Applications DBA to manage and optimize Oracle databases and applications globally. This role will collaborate with the Oracle Applications Manager to ensure smooth operations and security of Oracle systems, including E-Business Suite (EBS). The role involves troubleshooting, system upgrades, patching, and vendor management.

What is your mission?

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Partner with Oracle Applications Manager to ensure Oracle Applications Stack, all Oracle applications, and databases are patched, secure, and running efficiently.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and fix technical problems independently.
  • Engage Oracle Support, log tickets, apply fixes to test environments, and test.
  • Responsible for system sustainment, including upgrades, configuration changes, patches, and associated testing.
  • Manage third-party Application Management/DBA provider.
  • Ensure tickets are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Plan and adhere to project budgets related to Oracle enhancements and upgrades.
  • Maintain close liaison with other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Manage day-to-day operational functional issues, including Order Management, Purchasing, Requisitions, Receivables, Inventory, and other related responsibilities.


Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ DBA experience with Oracle.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to create and update technical documentation.
  • Strong leadership and training experience.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups.
  • Adaptability to changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills in technical processes and priorities.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Comfortable functioning in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Skilled in negotiating with vendors and contractors.
  • Ability to monitor and fix table locking/blocking issues.
  • Experience with Oracle Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Extensive experience in creating and maintaining shell scripts for day-to-day operations.
  • Familiarity with Oracle SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, and RMAN Utilities.
  • Experience with PL SQL, MySQL, Java, XML development.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL (QA, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS).
  • Experience with Capacity Planning/Systems Utilization.
  • Experience with EDI.
  • Strong experience with EBS cloning (12.1.2 and 12.2.3).
  • Expertise in RMAN Database backup and recovery.
  • Strong experience in performance tuning and interpreting tuning reports like AWR.
  • Expertise in database upgrade and migration.
  • Experience with OEM installation and setup.
  • Strong knowledge in managing OEM.
  • Preferably a Certified Oracle Professional OCP 10G, 11G or 12C.
