We are looking for a highly organized and analytical Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This multifaceted role requires expertise in payroll processing, general accounting, data analysis, and accounts receivable management. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations across payroll, accounting, and AR functions. Strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a proactive approach to process improvement are key to success in this role.

What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

Payroll & Compliance

  • Accurately process multi-state payroll in compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local regulations

  • Maintain payroll records and handle employee payroll inquiries

  • Coordinate with HR to ensure correct tax setup and benefit deductions

  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and prepare payroll journal entries

Accounting & Reporting

  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures

  • Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals

  • Support external audits and tax filings

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

Power BI & Data Analysis

  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports supporting payroll and accounting functions

  • Analyze payroll trends, variances, and performance metrics with finance leadership

  • Use data insights to recommend and implement process improvements

Accounts Receivable

  • Oversee the full-cycle AR process, including invoicing, cash applications, and collections

  • Issue accurate and timely customer invoices

  • Reconcile the AR subledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies

  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate with customers about payment status

  • Maintain accurate records of receivables and customer interactions

  • Collaborate with sales and customer service to resolve billing issues

  • Generate AR aging reports and update management on DSO and collections progress

  • Assist with month-end revenue and AR close tasks


Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 3–5+ years of experience in accounting with multi-state payroll exposure

  • Proficiency with Power BI and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)

  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Paycom)

  • Strong understanding of payroll laws and tax compliance across multiple states

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
