Senior Staff Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to own month-end close, ensure general ledger integrity, and deliver accurate job cost accounting and financial reporting in a construction environment. This role drives Work-in-Progress (WIP) management, revenue recognition, and audit-ready financials, partnering with operations and leadership to ensure timely, reliable data that supports profitability, compliance, and scalable growth. 


What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Own and execute the month-end close process, including journal entriesaccrualsreclassifications, and adjustments
  • Perform accurate bank and credit card reconciliations with zero unreconciled variances
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules
  • Assist in preparing financial statements including Profit and Lossbalance sheet, and cash flow statement
  • Ensure accuracy of job cost accounting by reconciling data between BuildOps and QuickBooks
  • Validate labor, material, and subcontractor cost allocations to ensure correct job costing
  • Maintain and validate Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and support revenue recognition aligned with contract terms
  • Investigate and resolve job cost discrepancies impacting margins and reporting
  • Maintain general ledger integrity by reviewing, correcting, and organizing financial transactions and documentation
  • Perform financial cleanup, resolving miscoded, duplicate, and unsupported transactions
  • Support internal and external audits, including insurance and bonding reviews
  • Ensure compliance with internal controlsaccounting policies, and improve processes for efficiency
  • Collaborate with ControllerAccounting Manager, and cross-functional teams for accurate financial reporting
  • Provide financial insights and clear communication to internal stakeholders


Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in managed servicestechnologymulti-entity, or property/real estate accounting environments
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365
  • Strong attention to detailorganizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalismconfidentiality, and discretion in handling sensitive financial data
